NDI Opened New Office and Warehouse in Sipoo
NDI Finland is strengthening its tire logistics with new facilities and a warehouse in Sipoo. The goal of the investment is to improve the availability of tires and rims, support year-round deliveries, and help retailers focus on sales and installation.
NDI Finland celebrated the grand opening of its facility at Rahtiraitti 6 on Thursday, October 29. The event was attended by customers, tire dealers, NDI management from Denmark, as well as representatives from the media, stakeholders, and the original equipment and aftermarket sectors.
In the opening remarks, the new facilities were described as the next step in the company’s development. The advantages of Sipoo were highlighted as its proximity to customers and key transportation links. According to the company, the facilities will streamline daily operations and enable it to meet the needs of its growing business.
“We handle warehousing and delivery so that our customers can focus on sales and installation,” summarized Juha Rusama, Country Manager of NDI Finland Oy, in his opening remarks.
Year-Round Deliveries and Sales Support
NDI’s goal is to serve its resellers consistently throughout the year, even outside the two main seasons. In addition to product availability, the company emphasizes technical product knowledge and sales support. Through customer visits, the company aims to contribute to dealers’ sales efforts and help them overcome day-to-day challenges.
Expertise in agricultural tires remains the foundation of the company’s Finnish operations. The opening remarks specifically highlighted Alliance’s product lineup as well as the importance of availability and expertise in large tires. The company plans to further develop this business and expand its customer base.
The Move Eequired Flexibility From the Staff
The move to the new facilities did not go without a few setbacks. At the opening ceremony, staff in both Sipoo and Sievi were thanked for their flexibility in challenging situations. According to the company, the warehouse staff managed to deliver tires to customers correctly and on time even during the move.
The timing of the grand opening in the middle of the tire season was explained by practical reasons: the move and delivery pressures had prevented an earlier date. The warehouse space used for the celebration, meanwhile, will soon be needed for the growing tire inventory. According to an estimate presented in the opening speech, the space will be filled with tires by the turn of the year.
Zaga Wheels Featured in the Opening Ceremony Program
According to the invitation, the opening program included a presentation of NDI’s history and staff, as well as a guided tour of the warehouse, during which guests had the opportunity to explore the selection of tires and rims. The company’s new in-house rim brand, Zaga Wheels, was also showcased.
NDI’s Riku Tahko and Satu Tuomisto were announced as the evening’s hosts. According to the invitation, the program concluded with a performance by the band Osmos Cosmos.
