Valentina Ahlavuo is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Automediat.com, a Nordic automotive aftermarket and tire retail B2B publication based in Finland. She founded what is now AUTOMEDIAT.COM Ltd in 1998. The publication’s history dates back to 1979, when it was launched as RengasUutiset. It was later known as RVK Uutiset and now appears eight times a year as AUTOMEDIAT.com Magazine in print and digital formats.

Automediat.com comprises the professional magazine, website, newsletters, industry events and international partnerships. In 2026, the website was launched in English.

The independent trade publication covers workshops, spare parts, tyres, tools and equipment, training, the circular economy, electrification, technology and artificial intelligence. AUTOMEDIAT is also the official member publication of the Finnish Automotive Aftermarket Association AAPT. In 2024, Valentina launched EV IAM Finland, a special publication focusing on the electric vehicle aftermarket.

Valentina works with leading international trade events, including Automechanika Frankfurt, The Tire Cologne, Autopromotec Bologna and Automechanika Shanghai. She organises Nordic aftermarket seminars and professional delegations to international events.

In September 2026, Valentina is organising The Focus on Scandinavian Aftermarket at Automechanika Frankfurt in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt. She also represents Autopromotec in the Nordic countries and will lead a Finnish buyer delegation to Automechanika Shanghai in December 2026.
