Raskassarja’s New Online Shop
The redesign of the Raskassarja247.fi online store will allow logged-in customers to search by model series and part number, as well as split their purchases across multiple shopping carts. According to the company, a search function based on registration numbers will be added later.
Raskassarja, which specializes in heavy equipment spare parts, revamped its online store at the end of October. The online store, which has been in operation for ten years, has been rebuilt on a new platform that is said to improve usability on smartphones and tablets as well.

According to CEO Jussi Mäki, the redesign retained the features of the previous online store that had proven effective and introduced new ones based on customer feedback. The focus is on part identification, purchase management, and the use of vehicle-specific information.
Customers can still search for products by part number without logging in. Part identification is also supported by exploded views and comparison numbers, which allow customers to view similar products, availability, and prices. The selection includes aftermarket parts and original-quality parts, as well as products available from stock and direct from the factory.
Shopping Carts by Work Order
At the request of repair shop customers, the online store allows users to use multiple shopping carts simultaneously. Purchases can thus be organized, for example, by location or work order.
“Repair shop customers, in particular, have requested the ability to add products to multiple shopping carts at the same time—for example, sorted by location or work order,” says Jouni Behm, who works in procurement at Raskassarja, in a press release.
Logged-in customers can save their own fleet information in the service. Raskassarja’s spare parts sales representatives will assist with compiling vehicle lists if needed.
Opening a customer account is free of charge and, according to the company, does not obligate the customer to make any purchases. Logging in also displays customer-specific prices. Purchases can be made even without an account, in which case payment is processed through Paytrail.
Shipments from Two Warehouses
Products from the online store are shipped from warehouses in Jyväskylä and Lahti, which, according to the company, stock over 37,000 items. Orders placed at the Jyväskylä location before 7:00 p.m. are shipped the same day. According to Raskassarja, deliveries to a wide area generally arrive the next day, often as early as the morning.
In the Joensuu, Kuopio, Jyväskylä, Lappeenranta, and Lahti areas, the company also offers local delivery according to predefined routes and schedules.
Online Store Complements Spare Parts Sales
Raskassarja considers its online store to be one sales channel alongside in-store sales, phone orders, and email. According to Mäki, customers use different channels during the same purchasing process.
“Based on our experience, customers search for parts online and then place their order by phone with the store. Or they call the store first and place their order later through the online store,” Mäki explains.
With the new platform, the company is preparing for the growing importance of online shopping and the further development of its operations. The overhaul aims to increase revenue through both existing and new customers.
