Schaeffler Expands Its INA Product Line for Heavy-Duty Vehicles with Multi-groove Belts
Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions offers multi-ribbed belts under the INA brand for auxiliary drives in truck and bus engines. The INA FEAD belts, designated as OE quality, complement the pulleys and tensioners already available in the product range.
The new belts are available for common commercial vehicle models from Mercedes-Benz, MAN, DAF, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, and Renault. According to Schaeffler, the products have been developed to meet the increased mechanical loads, high torques, and continuous operation of today’s commercial vehicle engines.
EPDM rubber withstands heat and wear
The multi-groove design, featuring longitudinal grooves in the belts, enables efficient power transmission even under high loads. The reinforcement structure is made of high-strength polyester, which reduces elongation and helps maintain consistent belt tension throughout its service life.
Certified EPDM rubber is used as the belt material. This material selection is designed to ensure resistance to wear, heat, and environmental conditions, as well as a long service life under the demanding operating conditions of heavy-duty equipment.
Technical Support for Repair Shops and Fleet Operators
Schaeffler complements its product range with installation instructions and technical information intended for repair shops and fleet operators. The support materials also cover the proper handling and storage of belts, as well as how to identify wear.
The goal is to extend the service life of the belts, detect damage early, and reduce unplanned downtime for heavy-duty vehicles.
