Valentina Ahlavuo is the publisher and second-generation Editor-in-Chief of Automediat RVK Uutiset. Having founded Automediat as her own company in 1998, she continues a legacy of high-quality automotive journalism dating back to 1979.

Originally launched as a print magazine, Automediat RVK Uutiset has evolved into a growing online platform and newsletter publisher, combining traditional editorial values with modern digital reach.

Under Valentina’s leadership, RVK Uutiset has become a trusted voice in Finland’s automotive and tire sectors, covering everything from equipment, parts and workshops to tire manufacturing, retail, recycling, and the emerging electric-vehicle aftermarket.

Tires remain one of the strongest pillars of RVK Uutiset’s content. In 2024, Valentina introduced EV Finland, the first Nordic aftermarket supplement dedicated to electric vehicles.

She has built strong collaborations with leading international trade shows such as Automechanika Frankfurt, The Tire Cologne, and Autopromotec Bologna, organizing dedicated Scandinavian seminars at these events. Most recently, she is leading a Finnish buyer delegation to Automechanika Shanghai in November 2025.

Valentina continues to ensure that Automediat RVK Uutiset remains the forefront of both Nordic and global aftermarket developments.
