Lapin Kumi Oy has agreed to acquire the shares of Rengas Turku Oy
Rengas Turku is expanding Lapin Kumi’s service network to Southwest Finland. Rengas Turku’s staff will continue to work at their current locations with their existing customers. The corporate restructuring will not affect customer contracts, and customer service will continue as usual. The corporate restructuring is still subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be finalized during the third quarter of 2026.
“Over its long history, Rengas Turku has built a strong position, particularly in the Southwest Finland region, and the company’s strong ‘can-do’ attitude, high standard of service, and passionate approach to tires and rims are an excellent fit for Lapin Kumi’s way of doing business. The acquisition will expand our service network into Southwest Finland. By combining Rengas Turku’s strong local expertise with Lapin Kumi’s nearly 80 years of experience, we will be able to offer our customers an even wider range of services in the future,” says Ville Ruokanen, CEO of Lapin Kumi Oy.
Lapin Kumi’s strong expertise in tire services for heavy-duty vehicles, construction equipment, and corporate customers perfectly complements Rengas Turku’s long experience in serving retail customers. With this acquisition, customers will gain access to a broader product selection, a nationwide service network, and an even stronger procurement and logistics network.
“We have been developing Rengas Turku since 1994 and, over the course of more than 30 years, have built a brand known for its exceptional service. Now it feels natural to take Rengas Turku to the next level in this changing world, together with Lapin Kumi. The acquisition was straightforward because the buyer shares our values regarding customers, services, and the expertise of our staff. I am confident that Rengas Turku’s customer service will remain just as excellent in the future. Ville Ruokasen, CEO of Lapin Kumi, has solid and extensive experience in the tire industry and understands perfectly well that good customer service comes from a skilled staff,” says Marko Rantanen, CEO of Rengas Turku Oy.”
