The technical standards for the tire, rim, and wheel industries developed by STRO are based on corresponding international standards, but adapted to meet specific Nordic requirements.
The STRO Tire Standards 2026 book is a 370-page information package covering HA, KA, PA, and agricultural tires. Hundreds of updates are made to the content each year. These updates take into account new standardized tire sizes. The latest edition of the book features over 8,500 new and updated tire sizes. It includes dozens of the latest car models. Older car models are also updated with new tire sizes.
Among the most important updates for 2026 are HL (High Load) tires—designed for electric vehicles—which are being installed on electric vehicles currently in development or in production. HL tires are designed to withstand higher load capacities.
STRO (The Scandinavian Tire & Rim Organization) was founded in 1960. The organization comprises tire and rim manufacturers operating in the Nordic countries. STRO represents the technical expertise and experience of the tire industry. The organization collaborates with industry authorities, the automotive and vehicle industries, and the tire industry’s distribution sector.
STRO Tire Standards is the only official tire standards manual in the Nordic countries. The content of this publication is copyrighted material of the Scandinavian Tire and Rim Organization (STRO) and is not available in electronic format. All other tire standards that may be circulating on the market are unofficial copies not produced by STRO. The STRO Tire Standards handbook is the official, annually updated source of information containing comprehensive data on passenger, light truck, truck, and agricultural tires.
STRO Tire Standards 2026 will be published in April. If you wish to secure your copies, we recommend placing your order as soon as possible. The Finnish-language print run is limited. For more information: tel. 040 708 6469
