Autotek is Focusing on Tire and Wheel Services for Electric Cars
Autotek Finland, based in Petikko, Vantaa, is expanding its tire and wheel services for electric vehicles. The company is putting together model-specific winter tire packages and investing in equipment, lifts, and tools suitable for servicing electric vehicles.
Rutger Veerman, CEO of Autotek Finland Oy, emphasizes that tire services for electric vehicles are a long-term development priority for the company. The goal is to offer customers a tire and wheel package tailored to their car model and to ensure its proper installation.
The company serves customers who drive electric vehicles from brands such as Tesla, BYD, Xpeng, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and Aion, among others.
Rim Load Capacity and Compatibility Are Key
Veerman places particular emphasis on load capacity and technical compatibility when selecting rims for electric vehicles. The rims must meet the requirements dictated by the vehicle’s weight and model-specific characteristics.
The customized winter packages offered by Autotek to consumers include tires, rims, the necessary tire pressure sensors, and installation. Seasonal tire storage can also be included in the package. Additional services include TPMS sensor programming, wheel balancing, and tire repairs.
Collaboration with Electric Vehicle Owners
Autotek partners with Tesla Club Finland, the Electric Car Owners Association, and the Latauskartta.fi service. Veerman lists Michelin, Nokian Tires, Goodyear, and Hankook, among others, as its partners in the tire industry.
The company showcased its offerings for electric vehicle owners at the Electric Car Day event it organized in Petikko, Vantaa, at the end of September. The event featured model-specific tire packages, rims, tire pressure sensors, and installation services.
